The Open Door To Me

behind the music

The Open Door to Me

Some of the strongest doors we build aren't made of steel. They're the ones we build around our hearts.

The Open Door to Me was written from the realization that love always requires vulnerability. Whether it's opening ourselves to God, to family, to friends, or to the person we hope to become, every meaningful relationship begins with the willingness to let someone in.

For many of us, that's easier said than done.

Life has a way of teaching us to protect ourselves. Rejection, disappointment, failure, and fear can slowly convince us that keeping the door closed is safer than risking another wound.

But I've discovered something different.

God doesn't wait for us to have everything figured out before He enters our lives. He meets us exactly where we are—with our questions, our imperfections, and our brokenness. He doesn't ask us to become someone else before opening the door. He simply asks us to open it.

That's what this song is about.
